Recently there was a PBS program entitled

Before viewing as difficult and painful as it may be we ask to watch objectively and learn from the lessons

Slavery by Another Name is a 90-minute documentary that challenges one of Americans’ most cherished assumptions: the belief that slavery in this country ended with the Emancipation Proclamation.

The film tells how even as chattel slavery came to an end in the South in 1865, thousands of African Americans were pulled back into forced labor with shocking force and brutality.

It was a system in which men, often guilty of no crime at all, were arrested, compelled to work without pay, repeatedly bought and sold, and coerced to do the bidding of masters.

The system was tolerated by both the North and South.

• In closing there is a single question – as a business owner how can you empower people to  build wealth without systems of exploitation in your business venture?

The traditional marketing scenarios are obsolete depending on what you do.

Additionally social media allows you to make more cost effective and targeted use of your resources.

Sure in some niches there will always be a place for traditional marketing however technology has transformed marketing.
