Power of Edification

Growing up how many times have you heard someone say if you cannot say something nice do not say anything at all? These are powerful words and advice and yet how often do we practice this simple advice?
Society tells us we should openly express ourselves in all ways, yet the truth of the matter is when you degrade someone it does more harm to yourself than it does them. When you edify someone or something it lends them your credibility and shows you are a person whose character and internal value is such that you have credibility so much so that you can share yourself with others which in turn adds value to both of you.
Edification is another form of appreciation. Appreciation is more than simply being thankful for what someone else is doing or has done it also means to increase in value.
- Do you contribute to increasing the value of the relationships you are involved?
Lets connect the dots using social media (a practical example of how well edification works)?
- Are you a Tweep (Do you use Twitter)?
Most Tweeps use something on twitter called Retweet (RT)
A RT is you rebroadcast something someone else posted that inspired you or that you find interesting and useful.
RTing builds both of your respective credibility.
You can see an example of it here: Twitturly
- So here is the question – how do you plan to use the power of edification in the future?
