DOING BUSINESS WITH CORPORATIONS
A Conversation with Len Greenhalgh, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth
and Theresa Barrera, VP, Supplier Diversity, Wal-Mart
Sponsored by Perez APC of New Orleans*
Want to do some learning, some networking, and some business?
On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, starting at 5:00 pm, Len Greenhalgh, Tuck’s Director of Minority Business Programs will be conducting a session on Doing Business with Corporations. He will be joined by Theresa Barrera, Vice-President of Supplier Diversity at Wal-Mart.
The session will be more of a conversation than a presentation. We’ll start with some general pointers about what corporations need from suppliers, and what suppliers need to do to create value for their corporate customers. Then we’ll invite questions, and begin the dialogue.
These are difficult times for all of us, and Tuck and premier corporations like Wal-Mart want you to survive the challenges, succeed as a business, and grow to scale. This requires you to be good at what you do and responsive to the needs of your customers.
The invitation is extended to all graduates of Tuck’s minority business programs, but is open to every diverse business that can benefit from the session. That includes MBEs who haven’t yet attended a Tuck program, corporations who do business with MBEs, and service providers involved in matchmaking.
So please join us and meet old friends, make new acquaintances, and expand the value of your days at NMSDC by honing your approach to dealing with difficult times.
